Here are some tips for using bold and italics when scripting a survey:
1. Don't add italic / bold tags to an entire sentence nor paragraph (only use it in some texts, words). They are tools for emphasis (however, if everything is emphasized, then nothing is emphasized).
2. Don't use italic and bold together (it should be bold OR italic). Think of them as mutually exclusive.
And remember!
- Bold text is used to describe strong, clear keywords.
- Italics can be used for giving certain emphasis on a particular word or phrase and it should be used sparingly (e.g. highlight quotes or names of books, blogs, newspapers, etc.).
