Change or Reset your Password

You can change your password for security reasons or reset it if you forget it. Your Platform Account password is used to access many YouGov products, like BrandIndex, Profiles or YouGov Surveys.

 

Change password 

  1. Open your Platform Home. You might need to sign in.
     
  2. Next to your name on the top right-hand side of the navigation bar, select My Account icon. Alternatively, go directly here to My Account.
     

     

  3. Under the Password option select Change
     

     

  4. Enter your current, new password, confirm by inserting the new password again, then select Save.

 

Your password has been changed. If you want to check, try to login again using new credentials.

 

Why do you need a strong password?

A secure password and updated recovery info help:

  • Keep your data safe
  • Protect your content
  • Prevent someone else from getting into your account

 

How to create a strong password?

Follow the password requirements to create a strong password and secure your account. Your password can be any combination of letters, numbers, and symbols (ASCII-standard characters only). 

  • Minimum 13 characters
  • Minimum 1 letter
  • Minimum 1 number
  • Minimum 1 symbol
  • Accents and accented characters aren't supported.
  • You can't use a password that is particularly weak. Example: "password123".
  • You can't use a password that starts or ends with a blank space.
